The Mardan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education was established in 1990. Prior to the development of the Mardan Board, Mardan District Education System was under the control of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar.
The number of students increases over time due to the creation of separate boards for men. The Mardan Board is working under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education.
The Mardan Board had the power to conduct examinations, enforce rules and regulations, select examination centers and assign roll numbers to students. The three districts under the supervision of the Mardan Board are Mardan, Nowshera, and Swabi.

The Mardan Board is responsible for conducting and managing the examinations of the aforesaid districts. All schools and colleges in these regions are required to register their students with the Mardan Board in order to appear regularly in the annual examinations. The Mardan Board also distributes prizes among the top performers in the annual examinations.

12th Class Date Sheet BISE Mardan
The Mardan Board has not announced the 12th class date sheet 2022 but it is hoped that it will be announced soon. According to a statement issued by the Federal Minister of Education, the annual examinations of Class XII will be held after July 10, 2022. It is worth mentioning here that the examinations of Class XII for the academic year 2022 have been postponed.
